Copyright complaints

Fiction gets copied, and liltale removes work that was taken from someone else. If that is your work, this is how to say so.

Sending a notice

Write to osamamumtaz96@gmail.com with “Copyright” in the subject, and include:

the address of the page on liltale; what was taken, and where the original is; your name and a way to reach you; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them; and your signature, typed is fine.

What happens next

A complete notice is acted on promptly: the work comes down and the person who posted it is told why, and given your notice so they can respond.

If your work was removed and it is yours

Reply with a counter-notice: the address of what was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of your local courts. If the original complainant does not take the matter to court, the work can be restored.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post other people’s work are closed. Knowingly false claims have consequences too, in both directions.
